Nigerian popular actress, Regina Daniels, has revealed that the Nigeria movie industry is not a safe place for the young girls to work and build their careers.
The mother of 2 stated this via her Verified social media page while urging the producers and directors of the movie industry to discontinue and discourage such act of employing many minors into the Nigeria movie industry knowing too well they have separate agenda for them.
The 22-year-old and wife of a billionaire politician also recalled to the time she met with a 14-year-old girl that dressed indecently and was working under a makeup artist during a movie set.
Regina Daniels, in a lengthy video she posted on her Instagram advised her Nollywood colleagues to shun child labour and ensure to keep the Nigerian Movie entertainment industry secure for all.
According to what she said in the video; “I met a 14-year-old girl wearing a short skirt, crop top and working under another young guy on the movie set who claims to be a make-up artist.
Her parents are far away in Port Harcourt and she came to Lagos last year. She sleeps in different hotel rooms with whoever agrees to accommodate her every night and is not willing to go back to her parents.
This girl told me that she is here to learn but trust me, I know the industry and it is not a safe place for young girls.”
She captioned the video clip on her official verified Instagram page as;
“DISCLAIMER!!! This goes to the CELEBRITIES AND MOVIE PRODUCERS PLEASE SAY NO TO CHILD LABOUR and keep the industry Secure.”
